It got a little chilly at night, the perfect excuse to cuddle.

At her 4 month check up Baby Bit was in the 100 percentile in both height and weight. That's the size of an average 7 month old! And all that growing was done with nothing but Momma! So the Dr. suggested that could start some solid food. Baby Bit's quite happy about it.

Last month I posted a prayer that pretty much sums up our feelings of being blessed by our beautiful daughters. And we were pleased to spend a day solidifying our commitment to raising our girls with faith in God's love.

One of the best parts of the day was spending time (and eating) with the family after church. GrAunties, GrUncles, Cousins, and Grandparents lots of love!

Trunk or Treat Night~

Started off with a visit to see these lovely ladies and give them a treat bagfrom Lil'Bit.

You may not recocnize them in costume, That's D'Bug's the Awsome Owl and Magneato is the Beautiful Lady Bug.

We headed off for Trunk or Treat at a local church. We've heard good things and it sounded fun. 75 cars in the lot decorated and handing out candy, plus lot's of extra fun inside the church. We didn't know what we were in for. 4000 (no that's not a typo) people were there! It was fun but a bit chaotic. Next year we'll stick to the low key "trick or treat" I think!

I though this Candy Land trunk was Awsome!

Parent's prayer

Our Pastor shared a beautiful prayer with us the other day and it touched me. I've printed it and posted it on my refrigerator, and now I'd like to share it with you.
Here's that prayer from Dr. James Dobson (in his book "Straight Talk to Men and Their Wives")
~“Lord, you know my inadequacies. You know my weaknesses, not only in parenting, but in every area of my life. As you broke the fishes and the loaves to feed the five thousand, now take my meager effort and use it to bless my family. Make up for the things I did wrong. Satisfy the needs that I have not satisfied. Wrap your great arms around my children and draw them close to you. And be there when they stand at the great crossroads between right and wrong. All I can give is my best, and I've done that before. Therefore, I submit to you my children and myself and the job I have done (and will do) as a parent. The outcome belongs to you.”
I hope this resonates with some of you too. Parents to be, those of us in the thick of it, parents of grown children, grandparents, it's a pretty versatile prayer.
