After spending the day with my Dad's family I feel like posting a poem I wrote for them a few years ago. I am / We are so blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful people. I love all sides of my family. But I've only got this one poem. Maybe I need to start working on a few more...
Bit of Tibbetts

I’ve got a bit of Tibbetts in me
My family put it there
It’s in my heart and humor
In the way I care

You’ll see it when I smile,
The twinkle in my eye
That warns you oh so slyly
You’re about to be surprised

I’ve got a bit Tibbetts in me
Be careful what you do
When hanging out with me
Some might rub off on you

The Tibbetts Family shares its warmth
With friends and relations
You will never doubt that you are loved
Especially when we’re in combination

I’ve got a bit of Tibbetts in me
I’m sure that you’ll agree
It’s a part of what makes me care
For all the people who love me

My ancestry is varied
But this goes far beyond the blood
It’s not something in my DNA
It comes from being loved

I’ve got a bit of Tibbetts in me
It is more than just a name
It grew from those who have loved me
With out them I wouldn’t be the same

Celebrate!

It's a start, but this post won't even get us to Christmas! We've had a lot going on around here. I hope I get a chance to update again soon and get us up to date. But for now, it's a start.
A birthday Tea party for Memer! You can hardly tell but we dressed up in All of my Memer's fantastic costume jewelry. Clip on earrings, broaches, braclets, necklaces, watches, the works!

Picking the perfect Christmas tree.

We have Lil' bit do the hard work cutting.

Baby Bit slept through most of it.

November and December Photos

Now let's see, we last blogged about Trick or Treat (among other things). A lot has been going on since then. I haven't taken as many photos lately. But don't worry, I've taken enough ;-)

~~~
Starting off we had a great time with the H family hanging eating and checking out a great "Touch a Truck" event. Love this family hanging out with them is always fun.
Seriously, she's 4 and already riding around with boys! At least we know PQ comes from a good family!
Baby bit doesn't even know she had fun, she slept through most of it.
SCIENCE FAIR!
Our homeschooling group put on an amazing science fair. I don't even think I can remember all the awesome stuff we learned.
Forensics... Who dun it? The kids had to find the clues around the room, dust for prints, study the suspects, and solve the crime. Along with doing their own finger prints. Very cool!
Water rocket, the pressure really builds up to send these rockets flying. So Cool!
A in talk on meteorology with a local celebrity.
Some light physics
The Simple Science area with lots of little experiments to play with.
Black lights,
How does a lava lamp work? Lil'Bit made one so she can tell you.
Wind, magnets, microscopes.... Simple Science was sooo Cool!
I can't believe I didn't get any photos of Hubby. He was with us too. He actually ended up running a station on aviation since the person who had planned to do it had swine flu. He did a great job and was much appreciated by the organizers of the event.
This is the sunset we were treated to coming home from the fair.
SPELLING BEE TIME!
Lil'Bit found out that some of her friend were going to participate in the national spelling be and decided she would do it to. It starts at a first/second grade level. She learned all the first grade words and a bunch of the second grade words too. We are so proud of the great job she did! She went through tree rounds and had a smile on her face the whole time, even when she missed the "a" in glad. Lil'Bit had so much fun, she told us that she did "so good" that she will do it again next year and do "even better".
GREAT JOB LIL'BIT! WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU!
