A sweet surprise

I'm so happy to share these pictures of Lil'Bit, yes Lil'Bit, I didn't miss type. These pictures have been trapped in the internal memory of our old camera for 4 years! I don't even remember them. What a lovely surprise when I went to clean out the camera's memory to give it to Momma H (her camera died recently :-( ). I'm so tickled by these pictures that I just had to share! We sure do make beautiful babies (if I do say so myself!).

Baptized with Amazing Grace

Praise God!
For more than a year now, We have been regularly involved in our Church. Both Hubby and I have had a relationship with God in our past. However we had allowed it to fade into something we only thought of a few times a year. But we wanted more for our family. We wanted to raise our girls knowing the love of the Lord. So about two years ago we began "trying on" local Churches. We weren't sure what we were looking for, not really sure what we believed or why. Then we stumbled upon our church a bit over a year ago and, we knew we had found a new church family. And what a year it has been. We have been blessed beyond words. Our marriage has grown in a way we didn't know it could. We've become better parents, better friends, better people. We have such glorious purpose to our lives now. When we set out to find a church to attend we couldn't have know what God had in store for us. The Lord had so much more for us than just a church service every Sunday. We soon realized that our own individual relationships with Christ had been neglected. Hubby and I both found ourselves looking to learn more, to be closer to him. We both knew Christ, knew him as the savior, knew his sacrifice, knew God's sacrifice of his beloved son, but somehow we had lost the emotional connection to this knowledge. We have been reminded that Christ loves US and is with US! That he is OUR savior! That he gave the ultimate sacrifice for US! That God loves US so much he gave is only son for US! What an amazing feeling to know that kind of love! So when our pastor announced the opportunity to make a public display of our faith, a testimony through baptism we were excited to do it. Sunday was our Baptism day. I'm so proud of the changes we've made to our lives. And I'm so excited for the future. My heart is full indeed!

Hubby first...

My turn!
What God has in store for this little family is any ones guess. But one thing that is sure, we will live our lives surrounded by his love.

Had a fun filled evening at my cousin's wedding shower. Lil'Bit will be their flower girl in September.
Baby Bit trying on her sisters flower girl crown...

Look who it is! This was also our first night in a full week of C'Dude staying with us! And an Awesome week it was!
~ ((A little side note here, C'Dude came to spend the week and attend our churches Vacation Bible Camp with Lil'Bit, for the second year in a row. And what a week it was! C'Dude chose to begin a personal relationship with Christ this week. We feel so blessed to have the honor of helping him nurture this relationship. As most of you know C'Dudes Daddy ended up in the hospital late in the week and C'Dude was a hero helping out, when his Daddy passed out and needed to go to the hospital. C'Dude had the comfort and reassurance of the lord during the very scary time, waiting for the ambulance to arrive. Praise God, I'm heart warmed and proud to know that he spent part of the wait on the porch praying! (Uncle S. is doing well now and no longer in the hospital. ) ))~
The flower girl herself.

GrAuntie Twinkles looking lovely, as always.

Fulfilling her responsibilities as a flower girl by bringing the gifts to the bride.

With the happy couple!
We can't wait for the big day!
~~~
A Cook out at our house with the S family.
Waiting for dinner. Notice the GORGEOUS picnic table Hubby and Grampa T. made together. LOVE IT!
Lookin' Good Aunt K.!
A quick swim at the local lake.
Ah refreshing on a hot day!
And then it was off to the farm for our pick up.
Camping with the S. and H. family's
A new favorite camp fire treat. Cinnamon rolls on a stick. Awesome!
Just one of the may set of hands that played pass the baby. We love having so many people who love our baby girl too!
Now this sweet girl is a beautiful inside and out. Such a great roll model for our girls!
Hiding from the rain drops.
We enjoyed our camp out with these two fantastic families so much!
Such a blessing is our Lil'Bit.
She makes us smile. Here is a sign she made while we were getting dinner together the other night.
(The printed text is my photoshop translation)
She's helpful, loves to sweep lately. Yes this is a pile she swept up from my kitchen! If I couldn't tell you that she shook out the doorway rug first, I'd be embarrassed by the size of it!
And she's beautiful too.... among many, many, many other wonderful traits! We love you Lil'Bit!
~~~

Ok, so the following video is not in the least bit flattering to me, I've got a terrible singing voice and this is proof positive. Even Baby'Bit knows it. Pay attention to her face at the end, when I really go off key! Enjoy a good laugh at my expense, I've been cracking up every time I've watched it, and I've watched it a lot.

The week of July 4th

We'll start you off with Baby bit's newest trick. She loves to sit up all by herself, for about 5seconds. And she's very proud of her wobbly self!
~~~
Farm share pick up!
Lookie who also has a farm share. It's Momma H.
and Papa H & PQ too. We had a great time touring the farm with our friends. Lil'bit had a blast.
~~~
And now to the big lake in that neighboring state. My favorite place on Earth! My Mom's parents camps when I was growing up, and now my Aunt's and Uncle's are kind enough to share it with us still. Always makes me feel great to be here. With some of my favorite people on Earth.
GrUncle Rick had a nice time playing Barbies with Lil'Bit. He dressed her and choose her shoes all own his own. Too Funny!

A little cool and breezy but not enough to keep the kids out of the water.

Can't believe how much this little guy has grown!

Every year we all get matching Tees for the day of the 4th.

Too windy for a camp fire? We'll just improvise.

We didn't think there would be any fireworks in the bay but a neighbor two cabins over went for it anyway. Made us think of the verse "the bombs bursting in air" the wind was blowing them right at us they were going off directly over our heads. Incredible, but it had us running for cover at times, and we were afraid to go in our pop-up's for fear they might prove to be flammable!

The kids were ready for another day of fun in the sun.

and this time the weather cooperated. It was a gorgeous day!

Good thing we didn't take cover in the campers. These two buckets of spent firework casings were found around our campers! A little scary...

Honestly I am one blessed wife and Momma!

Our pop up is the first one with the open door. It was actually hubby's parents before he was even born. It's been taken care of so well that it still has years of life and fun left in it.

Baby Bit having a tubby in the sink I once had many a bath in.

Now this night was more like it. Calm and beautiful.

"Big sister, I love you so much I could eat you up!"

"Arms up" and she does it... another fun trick of Baby Bit.

"I had a little turtle his name was Tiny Tim."

Baby Bit enjoyed hanging out in the pop up with me while I packed up. You can see Big Sister and Daddy on the beach out the window.

Exhausting business all this fun!
